It might be 11am and you&#8217;re gagging for a coffee to keep you going until lunch, but for others the break will kill their workflow.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just those after lunch food-coma type slumps. There&#8217;s a limit to how long you can concentrate without starting to drift off. Is it boredom? Are you tired? Do you just need to walk away for a while? Or are you simply a night owl or early bird trapped in a nine to five world?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip #1: <\/strong>Be aware of when you start to drift during the day, or lose the ability to get on with stuff. Everyone&#8217;s different. If your optimum zone is 8-11am then hammer it and get as much done as you can in that period. If you&#8217;re useless after 5pm and you&#8217;re not working contracted hours, give it up for the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip #2: <\/strong>\u00a0You could always let yourself day-dream for a few minutes. The latest research says we&#8217;re hard-wired to day-dream. It&#8217;s different from losing focus.
