Q: Are you a Virtual Assistant?
A: Yes. But I deliver much more than secretarial work. I provide deeper, wider overall business support from the perspective of someone who has worked in business for many years. I have a keen eye for marketing and a great deal of hands-on business experience across a range of industries.
Q: How much business experience do you have?
A: I've been working in business for more than fifteen years.
Q: What software do you use?
A: I am fluent in Microsoft Office, various bookkeeping software and also leading open source (free) alternatives such as OpenOffice etc.
Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: I guarantee 100% discretion but am always happy to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement.
Q: How - and how often - do you back up your system and your data?
A: I pay a trusted, tried and tested external supplier to back up my data regularly, who hold a copy of my files off-site for comprehensive data integrity, safety and security.
Q: How do you track billable time?
A: I keep a close eye on the time I work for you using TraxTime time tracking software.
Q: I want to keep my budget under tight control - how do I do that?
A: We'll agree what you need up front and I'll warn you in good time if you're likely to run over budget. If it's appropriate, I'm happy to agree a total cost per project as well as providing my support on an hourly or daily basis.
Q: When do you invoice me?
A: I'll invoice you once the job's completed or, if it's an ongoing project, at the end of each week. I invoice on a seven day basis and always appreciate prompt payment!
Q: Do you ask for a deposit up front?
A: Yes... it's a small gesture of good faith!
Q: How can I pay?
A: I accept a wide variety of payment methods - just ask for details.
Q: What are your hours?
A: I work normal office hours, 9-6pm, five days a week. But I'm always happy to provide out of hours services. Just ask - we can work it out between us.
Q: What basis does our agreement work on?
I am available as and when you need my services. You can pay as you go, pay monthly or choose a convenient retainer package. You don't need to make a big commitment.

Q: How much notice do you need to start a project?
A: It depends how busy I am. But whatever you need I will do my level best to deliver it to a timetable that suits you. We'll work it out!
Q: Where are you based?
I'm based in Brighton & Hove in East Sussex, UK. If you're local I can provide business support in person.
Q: Can we work together remotely?
Absolutely. Wherever you are in the world we can work together remotely using email, Skype and telephone.
