Picnic In The Park
A family festival which takes place every year at Queens Park. Featuring a festival stage with children’s entertainment and live music throughout the day and for the grown-ups, there is a beer tent and stalls offering exotic, spicy foods from around the world. For kids, there are bouncy castles, circus acrobatics, tennis coaching, a coconut shy and many more games and activities.
Brighton’s Big Screen
What could be better than free beach films alongside great food and drink? Big Screen returns for 2014 to it’s seaside home near the Brighton Wheel with a host of great films and sporting events on offer. This Weekend enjoy Kids Club, The Showcase, Wimbledon, the World Cup and War Horse.
The Little Mermaid
Following sell out performances of The Nutcracker at Christmas, Ballet Theatre UK returns to Brighton Dome with a dramatic re-telling of a Hans Christian Andersen favourite. When the Little Mermaid falls in love with a human Prince, she gives up everything to win his love. And when she rescues the Prince during a storm at sea, she begins a journey that will take her far from her home beneath the waves.
Nautical themed bar The Fortune of War’s main attraction is the atmospheric beer garden which extends on to beach itself. Ohso Social is a mega cafe/restaurant/bar with a huge courtyard of tables.Expect to find top Brighton DJs playing on the terrace. Brighton Music Hall boasts Britain’s biggest heated beach terrace and a first floor cocktail bar/restaurant. Expect outdoor entertainment, cabaret and live music. Paddle Round the Pier
Brighton’s favourite & the world’s largest free charity beach festival “Paddle Round The Pier” returns to Brighton on July 5th & 6th2014.
